Founder Dr. Rajeev Kumar

Rocky Mountain Movement Disorders Center (“RMMDC”), P.C. was formed by Dr. Rajeev Kumar in 2007. For almost 20 years, RMMDC has provided expert treatment within the movement disorders therapeutic area, assisting patients with serious neurological conditions to achieve their life goals. Movement disorders span the whole spectrum of ages. It is estimated that 50 million people suffer from some form of movement disorder in the United States (12% of the population).

With Dr. Kumar’s targeted retirement mid-2025, he personally sought out a successor to take over the successful practice and continue to serve patients in the Denver metro area. He engaged a headhunting team to recruit a movement disorders expert. Dr. Meagen Salinas joined the practice full time in July 2024. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She comes from the Dallas area where she held the positions of Assistant Chief, Neurology Section, and Stroke Director of the North Texas VA Health Care System, as well as Assistant Professor and Fellowship Director – Movement Disorders, of the UT Southwestern Medical Center. She actively engages in research and holds memberships in both the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society.
